It’s time for Escondido to realize its potential.
It’s time for a reasonable voice on City Council.
Unfortunately ineffective city policies have:
Grow and revitalize the downtown business district,
Maximize the resources available for library and recreation services that attract families and engage our residents;
Optimize effective relationships with Escondido’s largest employers, limiting business growth
Bring residences together and stop the fighting between communities to keep our city moving forward
I know we can do better!
My vision is simple -
home, jobs, and a thriving community for Escondido residents.
Who am I? I’m Dara Czerwonka, and I’m running to represent you in Escondido’s City Council, District 3.
I’ve earned my reputation as a hard-working, dedicated, and high energy professional through my many years of service in public office, as a business leader, and as a compassionate nonprofit executive.
I am the only candidate that brings:
Elected Experience - I serve on a local school board and previously as a trustee of Palomar Health District;
Professional Business Leadership - I have worked as a business Executive Director / CEO for more than 15 years and served as the Board President of our $4 Billion health district;
Financial Expertise - I have extensive fiscal oversight experience of small businesses all the way to multi-billion dollar organizations
Compassionate Problem-Solving Experience - I have worked to solve the issues of homelessness, health disparities, and lack of access to higher education for underserved communities in addition to the everyday business challenges faced as a busy professional.
This November, will you join me?
As your budget-savvy leader,
I’ve saved $50 million of district tax-payers’ money through bond refinancing
As your advocate,
I’ve worked tirelessly to preserve the full array of high quality medical services available to Escondido residents from Palomar Health despite pressure to cut maternity care and other essential services that keeps care close to home for all of us.
As your neighbor,
I’ve worked to create and support policy that ensures collaboration between Palomar Health and Escondido’s homeless services to ensure indigent people weren’t returned to the streets of Escondido upon discharge,
As your organizer,
I’ve brought innovative mental health treatment models to Escondido such as the state-of-the-art Crisis Stabilization Unit so the revolving door of psychiatric inpatient stays and homelessness isn’t perpetuated.
As your leader,
With my leadership skills combined with a thoughtful approach to the daunting challenges in our community, I can get things done on Council FOR YOU!
